Fresh from wowing crowds at the Cannes Film Festival, Aussie sensation
Jackman yesterday proved he still called Australia home when he touched down
in Sydney.
With wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their two children Oscar and Ava, the
casual Jackman clan appeared anything but the superstar family.
Yet legendary skirt-chaser Hefner reckons Jackman's the real deal after
watching X-Men: The Last Stand.
"I'd love Hugh to play me," the 80-year-old tycoon said.
Jackman, 37, has returned home to reprise the role of Peter Allen in the
Broadway musical that sent his career into the stratosphere.
The family is believed to be settling down on the Northern Beaches ahead of
Boy From Oz rehearsals on June 26.

of the 12 cast members are adding to the studio publicist's logistical
nightmare of scheduling interviews for the multiple talent.
Anna Paquin's publicist pulls her from a photo shoot with Halle Berry and
Famke Janssen because she isn't get the required attention from the
photographer. Ian McKellen, leaning against a pillar, is grumbling about the

Wolverine film is well under way.
"We're two drafts into it," Jackman says. "It's probably going to be a
prequel. In the movies he's evolved a lot, so I think we need to go back to
his origins."
Most actors create production companies for tax write-off purposes, but
Jackman has set up Seed Productions to co-produce the film with 20th Century
Fox and keep things ticking over. As well as his own projects, the
production company will also help develop directorial projects for his wife,
Deborra-Lee Furness, who has had her own premiere in Cannes with Ray
Lawrence's Jindabyne.
"I always believed as an actor you should be proactive," Jackman says. "When
I first graduated from drama school me and my friend Simon Lyndon had a
theatre company together because I never liked the idea of being a victim
sitting by the phone waiting for a call."
