Well it's pretty clear Sarah Michelle Gellar has officially been
forgotten on these popularity polls. Whoda guessed that spinning her
wheels for seven years burning off her youth would have netted her a
role as fourth fiddle to an animated dog and a goofy cult movie.
Can anyone say 'Movie of the Week'?
And I have to say I'm taking great joy in seeing the Olsen Twin death
spiral. I guess when they turned 18 they didn't start screwing
everybody.
Someone drop me a line when they find those two strung out on heroin
in a flop house...

Thanks to AmIannoying.com I've finally looked at the complete roster of this
year's 50 Most Beautiful People, and I did much, much better than last year.
I was right on:
Charlize Theron
Johnny Depp
Maria MenounosLindsay LohanScarlett Johansson
Nick Lachey
Jessica SimpsonMischa Barton
Jude Law
Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson (Black Eyed Peas)
Beyonce
Jim Caviezel
That's right! 12 people -- tying the same number I scored in 2002 -- who I
picked made the cut, especially Menounos, Johansson, and Lohan (thank God
they didn't include Hilary Duff!). Fergie came as a surprise; I thought the
People editors would go with Evanescense's Amy Lee (they have the New Artist
Grammy; the Black Eyed Peas doesn't) or Kylie Minogue (she too has a
Grammy). I'm glad they stayed away from 50 Cent (Charles Fedullo asked me
whether or not he made it), but good call on Andre 3000.
Halle Berry may have tied with Julia Roberts with eight appearances, but
Jennifer Garner is on there FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT TIME!!!!! So is Saturday
Night Live's Tina Fey for her second; where was Maya Rudolph?
And Entertainment Tonight is 2-2 this year on 50 Most Beautiful appearances,
with Menounos on the main list and occasional reporter Carlos Ponce making
the Spanish version. SuChin Pak of MTV News is also in; why not Los Angeles
newswoman Lauren Sanchez next year?
Now what about those who weren't beautiful enough? Jessica Alba may have
been voted 2003's Sexiest Woman in my year-end poll, but she was shut out
despite a sexy resurgence thanks to "Honey." No Keira Knightley, no Anderson
Cooper, no Clay Aiken, no Jamie-Lynn DiScala, no Andy Roddick, no Kristin
Kreuk, no Brooke Burns, and no Stacy Keibler!!! But alas, there's always
next year.
After all, this is the "50 Most Beautiful People" we're talking about; the
"in the World" was dropped a couple years ago. But man, that Lindsay Lohan
sure looks deliciously sexy. She's got a body that Duff or Alexa Vega would
NEVER have...and she's only 17 (till July 2)!!
