Maybe the perpetrator was David Copperfield. He probably used one of
his magic tricks to get into the house. Don't those wealthy celebrities
have burglar alarms?

Schiffer's London Home Raided
By WENN|Monday, December 19, 2005
HOLLYWOOD - Supermodel Claudia Schiffer was left terrified when her London
home was raided by burglars as she and her two children slept upstairs.
Thousands of dollars worth of electrical equipment, including a laptop and
digital camera, were stolen after thieves broke into the trendy Notting Hill
pad last Monday.
The catwalk beauty and her two children, two-year-old Casper and
one-year-old Clementine, were sleeping upstairs when the robbery took place,
and the 35-year-old is still badly shaken by the incident.
A friend says, "She's horrified at the thought that someone broke into the
house and was creeping around while they were asleep in their beds."
Schiffer, wife of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels producer Matthew
Vaughn, is reportedly most upset about the loss of irreplaceable family
photos which were on the stolen digital camera.

Weight shifting: Claudia looks stick-thin
Once she was all curls and curves. These days Claudia Schiffer is more
razor-sharp angles.
The 35-year-old model and mother of two appeared more slender than ever when
she was spotted in a London street.
"Claudia looked painfully thin and gaunt," said a passerby who saw her
outside a doctors' surgery in Harley Street. "Her top was hanging off her
and her arms looked twig-like. She was carrying a very large handbag which
seemed to be weighing her down."
The German-born model married British film producer Matthew Vaughn three
years ago. She lost an enormous amount of weight after the birth of their
son Caspar in 2003, sparking fears for her health.
She also gave birth to a daughter, Clementine, last November. But her new
shape is said to be the result of four workouts a week and a strict diet.

SCHIFFER WINS PHOTO COURT BATTLE
German supermodel Claudia Schiffer has triumphed in a court battle against
German magazines, after the high court upheld a previous ruling.
The L'Oreal spokesmodel, 34, was furious when paparazzi took photos of her
and her young son Caspar on a London street after a car accident in May
2003, and offered them for sale to German publications.
In July last year a Hamburg court ruled the magazines would breach the
privacy of Schiffer and film producer husband Matthew Vaughn's young tot,
who was 5 months old at the time of the accident.
The publications appealed to the High Court and their request was rejected
Wednesday.
Schiffer's lawyer Matthias Prinz says, "This decision acknowledges the trend
of the courts to save parents and their children from the paparazzi."
Schiffer's fierce battle with the media over photographs of her children has
received much criticism in her native Germany, because the beauty has been
happy to pose with Caspar in advertisements for the mail order catalogue
company Quelle and for Kinder chocolates.
Schiffer also has a 7-month-old daughter, Clementine.

LONDON - Claudia Schiffer has appealed to finance ministers of the
world's richest nations not to "turn a blind eye" to the plight of many
developing countries.
The German supermodel posed with pictures of Treasury chief Gordon
Brown and the rest of the world's leading money men on the streets of
central London Thursday to show her backing for the Global Call to
Action Against Poverty, spearheaded by Bob Geldof.
Finance ministers from the Group of Seven leading industrialized
nations are meeting in London this weekend.
In the last week, supporters of the campaign have sent more than 1
million e-mails to finance ministers from the seven wealthiest nations
and Russia to put pressure on them ahead of a Group of Eight summit in
Scotland in July.
"I have two children, but if I was living in parts of Africa I'd have a
one in five chance of dying during childbirth," Schiffer said. "And my
baby would have a one in five chance of dying before their fifth
birthday.
"World leaders cannot turn a blind eye to this," she said. "If the
campaign works then something will at last be done about these terrible
statistics. As a mother I want to do everything I can to help this
campaign."
Anti-poverty campaigners say poverty kills 30,000 children each day.
They are lobbying finance ministers and world leaders to cancel the
debts of the developing nations, to provide more aid to poorer
countries and to make trade laws fairer.

The pregnant pop babe is determined to keep working after her baby is born.

VAUGHN LEAVES WILLIAM MORRIS
Director Matthew Vaughn is the latest in a long line of celebrities to
abandon the William Morris Agency, after controversial comments made by
agency boss Dave Wirtschafter.
The 34-year-old, who is married to German supermodel Claudia Schiffer, has
signed up with rival agency Endeavor after taking offense at Wirtschafter's
scathing attack on British filmmaker Guy Ritchie published in the New Yorker
earlier this month, according to Page Six.
Vaughn produced Ritchie's smash hit gangster movies "Lock, Stock and Two
Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch," and felt he had no option but to change
agents in solidarity with his close friend.
A friend of the director says, "He was angry at Dave because in the New
Yorker he ragged on Guy Ritchie. Matthew produced Guy's movies and took it
as an insult."

Claudia Schiffer turns down Quentin Tarantino
March 16, 2005, 12:28:08
Claudia Schiffer has turned down the opportunity to work with legendary
director Quentin Tarantino - because she doesn't want to upset her
film-maker husband.
The 'Kill Bill' director asked the stunning supermodel if she would consider
working with him on a future project but was rejected because the blonde
beauty would rather work with her beloved husband, 'Layer Cake' director
Matthew Vaughn.
Speaking at Sunday night's (13.03.05) British Empire Film Awards, she said:
"Quentin asked me to work with him but there is no way I am going to do that
all the time Matthew is working in films.
"It would be so disloyal and Matthew would be so disappointed with me."
Meanwhile, it has been revealed Claudia is set to splash out on a new Las
Vegas holiday home.
The stunning star, who lives permanently in London with Matthew and their
two children, has reportedly paid $2.5million for the condominium, which is
in on a new site next to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

not going to be this old guy that keeps cranking them out.
"My plan is to have a theatre by that time in some small town and I will be

"I've made enough money that nobody even needs to show up at the theatre.
It's just having something to do."

German supermodel Claudia Schiffer and her husband, British movie producer
Matthew Vaughn, are about to become parents again, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
"Claudia is expecting baby No. 2 at the end of the year. Both she and Matthew
are delighted," said the spokesperson.
Schiffer and Vaughn, both 33, were married May 25, 2002, and have a
17-month-old son, Caspar. The couple, who live in England, reportedly are
currently on vacation on the island of Majorca.
Schiffer, who's been named one of PEOPLE's 50 Most Beautiful People, was
engaged to magician David Copperfield, though they never married. She also was
engaged to (and, again, never sealed the deal with) British playboy Tim
Jeffries.
Vaughn is about to make his directorial movie debut with Layer Cake, a thriller
scheduled for October release. His producing credits include such movies by
director Guy Ritchie as 1998's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and the
ill-fated 2002 Swept Away, starring Ritchie's wife, Madonna.
Vaughn was the best man at that couple's wedding.
(on turning down appearing in Playboy in the nude): "It's not that I'm against nudity. I'm German, I'm very open, in Germany they lay in the park naked. It's just the principle."
"I actually don't meet very many men because they are, I guess, afraid to approach me or think that I'm from another planet." - on turning 30, to the German magazine Stern
"I know one day I'll be considered too old. I think 40-year-old women actually look more healthy and fit than some girls in their 20s. I've met women who have way better bodies in their 40s because they've been working on them for all these years."
30 January 2003, Son, Caspar Matthew De Vere Drummond, born weighing 7 pounds.
