In 2005, Sid Belvedere: Ming Tea (Austin's Band) in the video Air Hockey.
Matthew Sweet's character is Himself (performer) in the 2004 video release of Dodger DVD 135.
For the 1957 release of Foothold on Antarctica, he plays the part of Himself.
Matthew Sweet stars as Himself in the 1986 show Heathcliff: The Movie.
Her new 60's covers CD with Matthew Sweet is totally fab.

There was a time when moving your eyes from side to side fetchingly was
enough.

Thanks,
Mike
(Now those were the days, my friend)
MAtthew Sweet is a pop genius. If he had been around in the 60's he would
have had 20 hits.

Sweet Music For Susanna Hoffs
February 24, 2006, 6:45:46
The BANGLES star SUSANNA HOFFS and cult singer/songwriter MATTHEW SWEET have
teamed up to become the new SONNY and CHER with a new duets album.
The odd couple are longtime friends and they're now paying tribute to their
favourite 1960s hits on a new covers album.
It's not the first time Sweet and Hoffs have played together: they were both
members of spoof AUSTIN POWERS group MING TEA.
Their new album, UNDER THE COVERS VOL 1, will be released in April (06), and
feature retro pop favourites like SHE MAY CALL YOU UP TONIGHT and BOB
DYLAN's IT'S ALL OVER NOW, BABY BLUE.
The album also features covers from THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES, LOVE,
NEIL YOUNG, the BEACH BOYS and VELVET UNDERGROUND.

He can't tell you...too drunk.
It is not songwriters who dry up, it is SINGER-songwriters. Many
times, their limitations as singers prevent their greater talents as
songwriters from blossoming. But a lot of singer-songwriters who had
their day in the sun became songwriters predominantly, for other
artists. And that makes them invisible.
I will admit though that even when subsequent work does not match
certain artists at their peaks, I still buy out of loyalty. So I have
everything Squeeze's Difford and Tillbrook have done separately and
collectively. And I wonder what direction Matthew Sweet will take.
