All in the timing for Jen
By MICHAEL BODEY
June 07, 2006
JENNIFER Aniston couldn't help but sign up for The Break-Up only months
after her much-publicised split with Brad Pitt.
"Timing was everything. It was kismet," Aniston said.
Unfortunately, the delicious timing resulted in a film publicity tour that
has resulted in some ham-fisted questioning, including this doozy in New
York: "What's been your toughest break-up?"
"Isn't that amazing to you?" she smiles with the comic scrunched nose that
screams Friends' Rachel.
"I think I replied, 'Are you kidding?' But I don't feel like I got asked any
dumb questions today," she added in an exclusive interview with
Confidential, hours after having swatted away a couple at her Sydney press
conference.
However, one journalist asked how Aniston's godfather, Telly Savalas, felt
about being mentioned in the film. He died in 1994, she explained.
Her co-star Vince Vaughn is amused by the attention.
"It's strange that I've become the Dr Phil of film," he joked. "I get asked
all these questions about break-ups, but I haven't figured it out myself, so
I'm not sure I'm qualified to give advice."
At the moment the couple, who still don't talk about their relationship -
but did steal a kiss backstage at Monday's State Theatre premiere - are
content with ambiguity.
"With girls in the past I've always avoided public stuff," Vaughn said.
"Because it's like telling your friends and family about a new girlfriend,
but when you're not dating them, you have to explain it all over again to
them.
"It's always better to have those experiences and those journeys for
yourself."

Keeping their distance ... Vince Vaughn'>Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston in The Break Up
THEY might be in the throes of one of Hollywood's hottest relationships but
Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn'>Vince Vaughn will be anything but loved-up when they
hit Sydney this Sunday.
The couple's behaviour at Monday night's red carpet premiere of The Break Up
is expected to mirror their performance at the LA screening last week, when
Vaughn and Aniston went to great lengths to keep their distance and only
appeared together in a group photo with the film's cast.
The lovebirds' Sydney schedule allows for free days on Sunday and Monday but
they will then promote the romantic comedy separately during official duties
on Tuesday - even conducting individual press conferences.
The couple will travel with an entourage of six - including personal
stylists and makeup artists - and have booked separate suites at a top city
hotel.
"I've not been told why - that's the way they promoted the film in the US
and that's the way it's being done here," a United International Pictures
spokeswoman told Confidential yesterday.
Despite photo evidence of their cosy union constantly emerging since filming
The Break-Up, Aniston and Vaughn have captured the world's attention by
refusing to admit they're an item.
While Aniston's ex Brad Pitt snuggles up to Angelina Jolie and their newborn
baby Shiloh in Namibia, excited Sydney fans will be lucky to glimpse the
former Friends star anywhere near her burly bloke at The Break-Up premiere
at the State Theatre.

That pretty much sums it up. I predict the movie will do
moderately okay but not well enough to garner Aniston
any big juicy roles.

Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have splashed out on a $12 million on
a new love nest.
The couple - who met last summer while filming romantic comedy 'The
Break-Up' - have reportedly snapped up a luxurious pad in the Chicago
suburb where Vince grew up.
The nine-bedroom mansion - which also boasts 13 bathrooms, a six-car
garage and a massive wood-beamed guest hall - is situated on 7.5 acres
of land. advertisement
The couple - whose romance has blossomed since Jennifer divorce from
Brad Pitt was finalised - is said to be overjoyed.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Jen and Vince have
spent ages looking for the right place and when they found this, they
knew it was perfect.
"It's in a quiet, private neighbourhood and Vince is so well-liked
there that he and Jen are hoping they're just going to be allowed to
keep a low profile and get on with their lives."
NY POST...PAGE 6
April 11, 2006 -- AMERICA wants famously jilted Jennifer Aniston to
settle down with boyfriend Vince Vaughn - or at least that's what test
audiences for their upcoming romantic comedy, "The Break Up," are
hoping for.
Our spy reports, "The original screenplay had Jennifer and Vince's
characters breaking up at the end. So it was shot that way - but test
audiences hated it. It tested really - and I mean really - badly."
So Aniston and Vaughn, who met while making the picture and
subsequently fell in love, were sent back to Vaughn's hometown of
Chicago to do reshoots, costing Universal millions.
"The new ending has them getting back together in the end. It should
really be called 'The Make Up,' " snickered our source.
"People want to see Jennifer happy after she was thrown over by Brad
Pitt for Angelina Jolie," added another insider. "And with the original
ending - well, it was just too much of the same."
A rep for Universal e-mailed us: "Every film can benefit from a few
extra days of shooting, and 'The Break Up' was able to return to
Chicago for some quick additions that we believe will add to what we
know is already an enormously satisfying movie."
While in Chicago, Aniston and Vaughn, according to witnesses, have also
been house hunting and checking out luxury penthouse pads in the city
Aniston seems to want to call home.
The two, looking very "down to earth and very much in love," according
to reports, recently checked out pricey apartments in the building that
houses the Red Door Spa in downtown Chicago.
In recent interviews, Aniston has been vocal about her growing hatred
for life in paparazzi-crazed L.A. And she was plagued by lensmen
shooting her every move last year when she rented a house in Malibu
just down the street from best friend Courtney Cox Arquette.
In a chat with Oprah Winfrey, Aniston said, "It's the media that won't
move on. You just want to say, 'Come on, people! Turn a page!' "
When Winfrey asked how she felt about being single after all these
years, Aniston said, "I love the unknown. I love the discovery of what
will be happening."
I love how Oprah is enabling this train wreck! Oprah just seems to be
on the wrong side of everything lately. I expect she'll be the
godmother of Tom and Katie's child.

Jennifer Aniston To Beat Brad Pitt Down The Aisle?
She's told Vince Vaughn'>Vince Vaughn to 'name the day'...
By: Chris Taylor on 3/26/2006
Jennifer Aniston may spring a surprise by beating her ex-husband Brad Pitt
back down the aisle.
Pitt was strongly rumoured to be planning to marry his new lover Angelina
Jolie during their European vacation last weekend - but the wedding failed
to materialise.
Now Aniston has apparently told her new boyfriend Vince Vaughn'>Vince Vaughn that she's
ready to become his wife whenever he wants.
A friend of the Aniston family tells Life & Style weekly, "Jen has told
Vince she's ready to get married.
"She just wants to be Vince's bride - today, tomorrow, next week. She's told
him to name the day. As long as that day comes soon, that is."
The source adds that Jennifer and Vince are planning to marry before the
release of their new film together The Break-Up, which opens this summer.

Given the choices he has made and the preferences he has expressed over the
last few years, the only way Clooney is interested in this is if a) the
is absolutely super-shit hot or b) someone on the production team has
photos of him blowing Tom Cruise.
He's built up a lot of credibility lately with GNAGL and his Oscar win. Why
would he throw it all away to make some crappy film adaption of a crappy old

Aniston Plans Move Away From Hollywood
Jennifer Aniston is moving away from Hollywood to escape the constant media
attention she attracts following her recent divorce from Brad Pitt.
The 37-year-old plans to share a home with boyfriend Vince Vaughn in
Chicago, Ill., after falling for the city when the pair filmed "The
Break-Up" there last year.
She says, "It makes sense for me to leave. I can live outside L.A. and fly
in for work."
Meanwhile, Pitt and Aniston are set to make a whopping profit on the Beverly
Hills mansion they called home after finally agreeing deal with a buyer.
The now-parted couple originally bought the Wallace Neff-designed estate for
$13.5 million in 2001, renovated it and put it up for sale -- at $28
million -- late last year.
The price has since been reduced, and now, according to entertainment news
Web site TMZ.com, the mansion is in escrow for $22.5 million.
Real estate sources insist the new owner of the home is from another country
and not a celebrity.
