I actually am with you. Sheesh. He didnt say he was raping women or
that it was ok to rape them or that they liked it. He just said that
his new found agressiveness in bed was a turn on to some women. Maybe
its a fine line, but its still not the same thing IMO.

Poor Keanu. He rarely makes waves about anything. He isn't political,
doesn't have a scandalous life, doesn't do drugs and act out in public.
So here he is, innocently saying that some women are turned on when a
man is a little rough (well, it's true) and he's going to get the shit
kicked out of him by some women's group. It's just pitiful. Nobody can

Reeves upsets domestic violence group
27/03/2006 - 10:36:38
Keanu Reeves has landed in hot water with an American domestic violence
group after carelessly joking about how "some women" like rough sex in a
magazine interview.
The Matrix star tells men's magazine Playboy how difficult it was to perform
a rape scene with Hilary Swank in The Gift, but, when asked if his roughness
may have helped the actress get into character for boxing film Million
Dollar Baby, he quips: "Yeah. And, by the way, I also learned a bit of.
well, that some of the ladies don't mind it. Hah, that's awful to say."
The remark has upset officials at top American group Women Against Domestic
Violence, who claim Reeves' flippant comment made them "literally ill."
Melissa Rimmel who runs the confidential online support group for survivors
and current victims of domestic violence, fumes: "I cannot believe he would
even think it was OK to say that.
"Why doesn't someone educate that man? I can see him saying that in passing
and thinking it means nothing but, the thing is, so many women are sexually
abused every day by their partners and, no, those women do not want that,
nor do they like it."

Swank and Lowe Back Together, Thanks to Pets
Troubled couple Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe are giving their marriage another
chance because they can't decide how to divide up their pets.
The couple owns parrots, dogs, a cat and a rabbit and couldn't bear to live
without the menagerie, and that fact has prompted the pair to rework their
marriage.
A family source says, "Hilary and Chad realized how much they loved each
other when they spent time together with their pets. ... They are one big
happy family and don't want to break it up."
The couple split last year and officially separated just after the New Year,
but they've recently been spotted together trying to patch up their
differences.

If only other couples would try as hard for the sake of children as
these do for pets (although I know how often pets ARE the children).
Of course, children shouldn't be in an gry, resentful environment and
the split is for the better, but stick out through the tough stuff!
I'm glad these two are trying to work it out.

Swank Signs Up for Fragrant Role
Oscar winner Hilary Swank has signed a multi-million dollar contract to be
the face of Guerlain's new fall perfume.
The fragrance company will reportedly pay the star between $3 and $5 million
for the print and TV ad campaign.
Swank will be the face of the as-yet unnamed fragrance for the campaign,
starting in September and continuing for the next three years.
She joins fellow Oscar winners and fragrance faces Nicole Kidman, who
represents Chanel No 5, and Gwyneth Paltrow, who is the face of Estee
Lauder's scent Pleasures.

Really. How lame to think if you don't mention your spouse, you're on
the rocks. Personally I think it's pathetic that people can't imagine
a couple has an unspoken bond that doesn't need to be carted out for
the public.

Now he will be Mr. Nobody.
Hey, Rush and Molloy, you're full of shit. Chad Lowe has NOT acted "in
a handful of B movies" since his 1997 Emmy. Define B movie in this
century. The era of Cat Women On The Moon is long gone.
Same goes for journalism. There is no underground journalism anymore.
I maintain a web site called "real history archives dot com" on which I
try to solve the JFK assassination.mystery. It attracts more people
than Time magazine.
