NY POST...PAGE 6
June 16, 2006 -- THE Davis dynasty of Beverly Hills'>Beverly Hills is urging oily heir
Brandon to enter a drug and alcohol rehab facility - but so far Brandon
has resisted their pleas.
The family of the billionaire Marvin Davis, who died in 2004, was
mortified last month when a video of club-hopping Brandon, appearing
bloated and sweaty, surfaced on the Web. Brandon, followed and egged on
by a giggling Paris Hilton, performed a monologue for the camera -
calling Lindsay Lohan a "firecrotch" and making puerile fun of her
freckles and genitals.
Also in the video, Brandon sneered that Lohan was "poor" because she
was "only worth, like, $7 million."
A friend of the Davis family said, "It is obvious Brandon is on
something in that video - just look at him!"
But while the unemployed Brandon is balking at entering a rehab
facility because he thinks he doesn't have a drug or alcohol problem,
his family wants him to go for public-relations reasons.
Ever since the video surfaced, the Davis family has been shunned by
young Hollywood, and matriarch Barbara Davis is even having problems
getting A-listers to participate in her annual Carousel Ball in
October.
Brandon reportedly told family members he would enter rehab yesterday,
but as of late afternoon, he had not.
He has, however, continued to party since the infamous video was
released and has tried going to many L.A. nightclubs - several of which
won't let him in anymore.
If he does go to rehab, he may have a different place to hang his hat
when he gets out. His mother, Nancy Davis, is selling the family home.
According to an L.A. real-estate listing, Nancy has listed her house at
616 Nimes Road for a whopping $29.75 million.
Last year, Barbara sold her Beverly Hills'>Beverly Hills home for $50 million and is
now residing in the famed Beverly Hills'>Beverly Hills Hotel - which she and Marvin
used to own - until the pipes on her rented home can be fixed. No word
on whether Nancy will join her mother at the hotel.
A family rep declined comment.

Aniston takes on the tabloids
May 31, 2006 - 12:08PM
Maybe it was a joke. Or perhaps Jennifer Aniston was having a dig at her
ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and his new flame, Angelina Jolie.
Aniston was sitting at a press conference in Los Angeles to promote her new
comedy, The Break-Up, when a reporter asked if she was interested in using
her celebrity to tackle any of the world's important issues.
Pitt and Jolie, in between giving birth to daughter Shiloh Nouvel, have been
vocal about Africa, AIDS and refugees.
So, was Aniston interested in any global issues?
How about the war in Iraq or global warming?
"No," Aniston replied. "I'm not interested in any of that.
"I like to just focus on me and my tabloid career."
Her deadpan answer, dripping with sarcasm, scored plenty of laughs.
Aniston went on to say she had plenty of interests, but opted not to reveal
them at the press conference.
This poster girl of the tabloids does not give up too much about herself
these days, something Australian journalists will learn when she arrives
next week in Sydney to promote The Break-Up.
"I have a lot of other interests," Aniston, 37, said defensively.
"But, I don't need to tell you all my interests, but there's a lot."
One campaign she probably would not mind leading is a ban on tabloids.
They ran stories about troubles in her marriage to Pitt for months before
the star couple officially announced on January 7 last year that they were
separating after more than four years of marriage.
The split then sent the tabloids into another frenzy as they chronicled
Pitt's relationship with his Mr and Mrs Smith co-star, Jolie, and Aniston's
apparent romance with Vince Vaughan, her co-star in The Break-Up.
Aniston and Vaughan have managed to neither confirm or deny a romance,
despite plenty of sightings of the two together.
"There's a lot happening in the world," Aniston said. "It's one of the
things I always say is these tabloids are just distracting people from the
issues and the things that are happening in the world.
"Read a newspaper. Read about what's going on in the world.
"It's quite embarrassing to be the centre of all of those trash magazines
when there is so much going on that needs people's attention.
"But I also think its a way for people to distract themselves from all of
it. It's just like having junk food."
In The Break-Up Aniston plays Brooke, who splits with her boyfriend Gary
(Vaughan). They share an apartment, but both refuse to leave it, resulting
in a campaign of mental warfare.
It was a different story for Aniston and Pitt when they called it quits.
The $US25 million Beverly Hills mansion the pair meticulously renovated sat
empty for months after their break-up, with Aniston and Pitt moving to
separate homes in Malibu while the home went on the market.
Pitt and Jolie have also made the impoverished southern African nation of
Namibia their home for the birth of their daughter and Aniston could be on
the move too.
Vaughan has just bought a house in Chicago, the mid-west US city where he
was raised and The Break-Up was shot, and Aniston has said plenty of nice
things about the place.
She has also hinted about moving back to where she was raised, New York.
"This industry is so concentrated here (in LA)," Aniston said.
"It's hard to feel like a normal person and just to be able to get out
amongst the people.
"That's what I love about New York City. You are around all walks of life.
"You don't feel like you're a piece of chum."
As for men and relationships, Aniston says the differences between men and
women are what make relationships "interesting".
Just when her audience thinks she might be offering another sarcastic joke,
she says she is serious.
"Truthfully," Aniston adds.
The former star of the long-running sitcom Friends has obviously picked up a
few relationship tips from the breakdown of her marriage to Pitt.
"Men and women are different," Aniston explained.
"You either accept it and (if you do) then you can walk through it a lot
easier."

Dallas actress Victoria Principal has filed for divorce from her
husband of nearly 21 years, prominent Beverly Hills plastic surgeon
Harry A. Glassman, M.D., according to papers filed Tuesday in Los
Angeles Superior Court.
Principal, 60, is citing irreconcilable differences. The couple have no
children and separated on March 25, according to the papers, which were
obtained by PEOPLE.
Principal's petition states that the couple have a pre-nuptial
agreement, which lists all the couple's assets and debts.
Principal also requests that the court determine property rights and
"terminate the court's jurisdiction" to award spousal support to
Glassman.
It is unclear whether the divorce has anything to do with a domestic
violence incident three years ago that led to Principal's brief
hospitalization and Glassman's arrest.
At the time, a spokesman for the Los Angeles District Attorney said,
"Our office declined to file any charges, and as far as we are
concerned, that is the end of the matter."
Meanwhile, Principal stated in a press release: "We have had a loving
relationship for over 20 years. We've been and remain happily married.
It is outrageous to believe we would inflict injury on one another or
harm each other in any way."
On Wednesday, Principal's publicist, Alan Nierob, said, "We have no
further comment at this time, other than what is in the court file."
Principal's previous marriage, to writer-producer Christopher Skinner,
lasted from 1978 to 1980 and ended in divorce.
She and Glassman wed on June 23, 1985, when Principal was seven years
into her role as Pamela Barnes Ewing on the CBS evening soap about the
backstabbing Texas oil dynasty. She stayed with the show until 1987 (it
went off the air in 1991).
Glassman's professional Web site describes him as a 20-year
practitioner of plastic surgery in Beverly Hills. "He has used his
talents to enhance the appearance of some of the most famous people in
the world and to reconstruct birth defects, damage from injuries and
defects caused by cancer," his online bio says.
Today, Principal sells her Principal Secret skin-care products on QVC
and has authored three books: 1983's The Body Principal, 1984's The
Beauty Principal and 1987's The Diet Principal.

Late one Friday evening Katie Holmes was alone in her Bel Air home,
filing out her time card. She had to get it to Tom's manager by
midnight, she knew, or she wouldn't get her paycheck that week.
Wandering by the workout room she heard moaning and groaning, and the
hair stood up on the back of her neck. Since Tom was out of town, she
knew it wasn't him and Paul Baressi, his physical trainer.
She threw open the door and saw an ethereal figure coalesce in the
darkness. It was dank and scary and had a face like Tony Randall's.
"Wooooo," the phantom moaned. "I am the ghost of your lost career!"
"AIEEEE!" Katie screamed, nearly slipping on a condom wrapper. "Leave
me alone! I'm rich and married and a Scientologist! Let me enjoy my
money in peace."
"Not a chance!" the ghost barked, "because you've blown a brilliant
career. Look at these," he says as snippets of movies Katie appeared
in circle around his head. "You used to be in real movies! 'The Ice
Storm,' 'The Singing Detective,' 'Phone Booth.' You used to have a
burgeoning career!"
Katie grabs the misty orb showing "Batman Returns" and holds it up to
the spectre's glowing eye sockets. "You look!" Katie demands. "Ever
see anything like THIS?"
The pair sit for a few moments and watch Past-Katie read one of her
lines. It consists solely of the words "Hello" and "Bruce!" but she's
unable to deliver it with conviction.
The ghost watches the stilted, wooden actress try time and time again.
Eventually frustration wins out, and Past-Katie storms off the set,
declaring that she has to go to the bathroom. Bystanders giggle as
even that line sounds preposterous.
"Oops," the sheepish ghost finally admits. "I didn't know." He
jangles one of his chains from nervousness, and before he disappears
forever, says "Sorry. Never mind!"
THE END

If Katie Holmes managed to give birth to TomKitten in silence, in
keeping with the Church of Scientology's teachings, she at least had a
little help - from a painkilling epidural.
Tom Cruise, 43, had earlier said his fianc=E9e could have an epidural if
she needed one, and the 27-year-old actress opted for the shot, People
magazine reported.
"Everything is fine, and Katie can relax now," a source close to
Holmes' family told the magazine.
In fact, Holmes was doing so well that she and new daughter Suri were
home at Cruise's heavily guarded Beverly Hills estate within 24 hours
of the birth Tuesday at St. John's Hospital in Los Angeles.
At least seven satellite trucks and TV crews were camped outside the
estate, hoping for a glimpse of the baby.
Holmes' parents, Martin and Kathy Holmes, were vacationing in Florida
at the time of the birth. A family source told People that Kathy
Holmes, 59, broke into tears of delight when she heard the news.
"We have a sweet baby girl!" Kathy Holmes said.
A spokesman for the couple added, "The baby is happy and healthy. Katie
is doing great. Everything is fantastic."
Baby Suri "has lots of dark hair and big, blue eyes. She's going to be
a beautiful baby," a source close to Holmes' family told People.
"The family is absolutely ecstatic. Everyone's healthy, and we are
extremely happy," one of Holmes' sisters told the Toledo (Ohio) Blade,
the actress' hometown newspaper.
ABC's Diane Sawyer said Cruise sent her an e-mail describing his new
daughter as "glorious" and praising his wife as "an absolute champ."
In a "Primetime" interview that aired April 14, Cruise said Holmes, who
was raised Catholic, had converted to Scientology. The baby will not be
baptized, but will have a "naming ceremony" in the Church of
Scientology. Sources said close family members will be there and the
child will have the equivalent of godparents.
Suri is the first child for former "Dawson's Creek" star Holmes. Cruise
has two other children, Isabella, 13, and Connor, 11, adopted during
his marriage to Nicole Kidman.
In announcing the birth, Cruise's rep said the name Suri means
"princess" in Hebrew.
