WINDHOEK, Namibia - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie left Namibia with
their newborn daughter and their two older children after a two-month
stay at a luxury beach resort, an official said Saturday.
Samuel Nuuyoma, the governor of the Namibian region of Erongo,
confirmed the family's departure but would not say when they left or
where they went.
The couple thanked the Namibian government and its people at a news
conference Wednesday for the peace they enjoyed in the southwest
African country.
"We are very proud that our daughter was born here, and we leave with
fond memories and definitely hungry to return," Pitt, 42, said.
It was the couple's first public appearance since Jolie, 31, gave birth
to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt on May 27 at a private clinic in the resort
town of Walvis Bay. The baby weighed 7 pounds and was said to be in
good health.
Pitt and Jolie had retreated to Namibia for government-assisted privacy
in the weeks leading up to Shiloh's birth. They were accompanied by
Jolie's children, 16-month-old Zahara, adopted from Ethiopia, and
4-year-old Maddox, adopted from Cambodia.
Both children had their surnames legally changed to Jolie-Pitt after
Pitt announced his intention to adopt them as well. But the couple has
denied rumors of an impending wedding, saying they want to concentrate
on the children for now.
Pitt and Jolie were first linked romantically after appearing in the
2005 movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." Jolie, who won an Oscar for her
supporting role in 1999's "Girl, Interrupted," is divorced from Billy
Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.

What a truly bizarre post. This can't be real. Why on earth would
Jennifer Aniston want to meet Angelina Jolie'>Angelina Jolie, and what good would it

I hold no interest in Aniston, I find her dull and minimally talented,
but her ex-

Apologize? Do apologies really make sense in a triangle? I mean if
anyone should apologize, it's Pitt. He is the one that broke his
commitment to Aniston. And btw, I thought Aniston was moving away to
Chicago? Are Brangelina thinking of sequestering the City of Chicago

Angelina Jolie is said to be recovering from her birth one week ago
with a moderate amount of pain and she and Brad Pitt are still in
Namibia.
But the puffy-lipped siren reportedly wants to make nice with soon to
be new neighbor Jennifer Aniston and a report from the UK claims she
has asked her sweetie and the father of her children Brad Pitt to set
up a meeting.
The couple and the three kids are due to arrive back in Malibu on or
about July 1 and at some point they are bound to bump into Jen in the
coastal village of Malibu.
So - it would seem to behoove Jolie to make nice.
According to Entertainmentwise in the UK a story in Britain's Daily
Star cites an insider that told the British tabloid: "Angelina felt
really guilty about the way things happened with Brad. She likes
Jennifer and has always wanted to explain the situation to her."
Oh wait there's more - the report also claims that Pitt's
spokeswoman Cindy Guagenti has also confirmed that the couple are keen
to become friends, she said: "Jennifer is very happy for Brad and
Angelina. And they are keen to get their friendship back on track."
Should one remain skeptical? Absolutely. Guagenti has been quoted in
the British press before and when contacted by The National Ledger
denied ever speaking with them.

Five policemen, three security guards, two umbrellas, one minder, and a
sparkly black Armani mini-dress: that was all Jennifer Aniston'>Jennifer Aniston needed to
brave the downpour and chilly temperatures at the Australian premiere last
night of her film The Break-Up.
More than 400 soggy fans shrieked when Aniston, clad only in the strapless
sequined frock and black stilettos, stepped from her limousine at the State
Theatre, after the arrival of the film's producer, Vince Vaughn.
Perhaps inevitably, Aniston's visit has generated more interest in her
rumoured real life relationship with Vaughn and the breakdown of her
marriage with Brad Pitt than the movie she is spruiking.
Aniston and Vaughn arrived separately, and walked the red carpet and greeted
fans without speaking to each other.
Aniston said The Break-Up, an "anti-romantic comedy" about a warring couple,
had taught her nothing in particular about relationships. "You learn nothing
more from this movie than we learn from our real relationships, which is
communicate better, be as honest as you can be and just try to do better,"
she said. Aniston spent the day "just getting over a 15-hour flight".
She refused to be drawn by a question about the one thing she would never
understand about men. "Men are all different and women are different, you
know. There's a lot I don't understand about women."
Vaughn, who came up with the idea for the film, said Aniston was the only
actress the filmmakers had in mind for the role. "You needed someone who was
really good with comedy but she's also a really good dramatic actress. The
other thing with Jennifer, what you see is what you get. She's such a
genuine person."
Also walking the red carpet were the designer Akira Isogawa, Lady (Sonia)
McMahon, the swimmers Elka Graham and Kieran Perkins, the models Lara Bingle
and Erica Baxter, and the acting US ambassador, William Stanton.
Directed by Peyton Reed, The Break-Up, tells the story of an odd couple in a
dissolving relationship. He is a slob; she is an uptight perfectionist.
American critics have panned the film, calling it tedious. Nonetheless
American audiences have ignored the critics' warnings, pushing the film to
No. 1 at the box office.

NEW YORK - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will give the world its
first peek at their newborn daughter by releasing photos of Shiloh
Nouvel, with profits going to charity.
The images, taken at a private photo shoot, will be distributed by
Getty Images, the photo agency said Monday. All profits will be given
to charity, though no specific foundation was announced.
"While we celebrate the joy of the birth of our daughter, we recognize
that two million babies born every year in the developing world die on
the first day of their lives," the couple said in a joint statement.
"These children can be saved, but only if governments around the world
make it priority."
Deb Trevino, a spokeswoman for Getty Images, told The Associated Press
the family would later name the charity that will receive the funds.
She would not disclose how much the photos were being sold for, or when
they would be distributed.
A call by the AP to Pitt's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, was not
immediately returned Monday.
Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was born May 27 in Namibia. In the weeks
leading up to the birth, the couple retreated to the African country
for government-assisted privacy. Delivered by Caesarean section, the
baby weighed 7 pounds and was said to be in good health.
The couple have yet to make a public appearance since the birth.
Jolie, 30, has two adopted children: 16-month-old Zahara, from
Ethiopia, and 4-year-old Maddox, from Cambodia. Both had their surnames
legally changed to Jolie-Pitt after Pitt announced his intentions to
adopt the children as well.
Pitt, 42, and Jennifer Aniston divorced last year.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - While her former husband is playing daddy in
Namibia, Jennifer Aniston is basking in her new role as Hollywood's
latest movie star.
Her new romantic comedy "The Break-Up," co-starring real-life companion
Vince Vaughn, stunned industry observers by taking the top spot at the
North American box office with ticket sales of about $38.1 million
during its first three days, according to studio estimates issued on
Sunday.
The Universal Pictures release, which was savaged by critics, had been
expected to open in the $20 million range behind reigning champ "X-Men:
The Last Stand," which slipped to No. 2 with $34.4 million in its
second weekend.
Certainly, few observers were expecting it to break the former
"Friends" star's mediocre run at the box office. Of her two wide
releases last year, "Derailed" stalled at $36 million, while "Rumor Has
It" fell silent at $43 million. Still, she has some way to go to catch
up with ex-husband Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the mother of
his new baby girl. Their movie together, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," earned
$186 million last year.
Vaughn's last movie, "Wedding Crashers," opened to $33 million last
year, and earned more than $200 million, propelled by glowing reviews
and strong word of mouth.
'DUMB MOVIE'
"The Break-Up," a $52 million project that Vaughn helped write,
revolves around a couple whose relationship is on the rocks, but choose
to stay together in their Chicago apartment. "What's a smart comedienne
doing in such a dumb movie?" asked the Wall Street Journal.
The nation's female moviegoers begged to disagree, as women comprised
67 percent of the audience, according to Universal. Exit polling also
indicated that most viewers went because of the humor -- a reflection
of how well Universal marketed the surprisingly dark movie.
"There is humor in it, just not the saccharine type of humor you
expect," said Nikki Rocco, president of distribution at the General
Electric Co.-owned studio. "People genuinely like Vince and Jennifer,
and they like to be entertained."
The film is the first romantic comedy in the marketplace for a while,
and actually ranks as the No. 3 opening of all time for films in this
genre. "Hitch" ($43.1 million) took the crown last year from "50 First
Dates" ($40 million).
'X-MEN' SPEEDS AHEAD
Elsewhere, the third "X-Men" movie has earned $175.7 million after 10
days. Its 2003 predecessor, "X2: X-Men United," took 18 days to reach
that level before finishing at $215 million. The first film, 2000's
"X-Men," did not get that far, ending up with $157 million. The films
were released by 20th Century Fox, a unit of News Corp.., in
association with Marvel Entertainment Inc.
The animal cartoon "Over the Hedge" held steady at No. 3 with $20.6
million in its third weekend. The total for the DreamWorks Animation
SKG Inc.-produced animated film rose to $112.4 million. While the film
has held up well, it is expected to take a big hit next weekend when
Walt Disney Co. rolls out the Pixar-produced cartoon "Cars."
Meanwhile, "The Da Vinci Code" fell two places to No. 4 with $19.3
million, taking its total to $172.7 million. The film's distributor,
Columbia Pictures, said it was No. 1 overseas for a third weekend with
$51 million. With a foreign total of $409 million, the Vatican
thriller will soon pass "Spider-Man" ($415 million) and "Spider-Man 2"
($410 million) to rank as the top international release by the Sony
Corp.-owned studio.
Not so fortunate is "Mission: Impossible III," which slipped one place
to No. 5 in North America with $4.7 million. The domestic total for
Paramount's Tom Cruise vehicle stands at $122.7 million. By contrast,
1996's "Mission: Impossible" finished with $181 million, and 2000's
"Mission: Impossible 2" with $215 million.

I always felt from the beginning of their relationship that Jen was far
more interested in being "Mrs. Brad Pitt" than actually being a wife.
