Johnny Depp has asked former lover Kate Moss to star alongside him in an
upcoming Michael Hutchence biopic.
Depp, who will play the late INXS frontman, split up with the supermodel in
1997 after a stormy three-year romance.
But he is happy for Moss to get close again, and play Hutchence's girlfriend
Paula Yates in the rock movie.
An insider said: "Johnny was asked if it would be a deal breaker for him if
Kate was cast."
"He said 'Not as far as I'm concerned.' He figures there's been enough water
under that bridge.
"Obviously director Nick Egan hoping there's still enough chemistry between
them that will translate to the screen.
"It has been claimed she never got over him and in the film they'll have to
appear deeply in love."
Depp passionately defended Moss through her recent drug scandal and break-up
with Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty.
. The actor, who also admitted he still has feelings for the model, defended
her by slamming fashion bosses who dropped her after cocaine scandal.
She's not running for office and she ain't looking to be the next Messiah,"
he said at the time.
"She's a great girl and I care about her a great deal."
Hutchence was found dead in a Double Bay hotel room in 1997.
Richard, I fear you've hit the nail on the head.

NY POST...PAGE 6
IT certainly looked suspicious when a disheveled Kate Moss emerged from
her London townhouse a few days ago with what appeared to be a swollen
and bruised cheek, especially since it followed a visit from her
ex-boyfriend, junkie rocker Pete Doherty. He showed up just 24 hours
after the supermodel was seen with her new love, comic Russell Brand, a
former heroin-shooting buddy of Doherty. Not to worry, Kate's flacks
say, photos of her dubious cheek in the British papers were merely "an
unfortunate camera angle" and Doherty had only stopped by to take a
shower. Gee, that's assuring.

LONDON (Reuters) - British rock singer Pete Doherty was arrested on
Saturday after a police investigation into a tabloid photo which the
paper said showed him injecting drugs into a female fan's arm as she
lay unconscious.
It was the latest brush with the law for the 27-year-old, who is more
famous for his on-off relationship with supermodel Kate Moss and his
public battle with hard drugs than as the frontman of punk outfit
Babyshambles.
"At 0800 this morning (0700 GMT) a man aged 27 years old was arrested
on a street in an east London borough on suspicion of administering a
noxious substance recklessly," said a police spokesman.
"He is in custody at the police station and inquiries continue."
The Sun tabloid printed the picture on Friday, saying it and another
showing Doherty injecting himself with an unknown substance were taken
at his home in Hackney, London, within the last five weeks.
Doherty has made a string of court appearances in recent months on
drugs charges.
Last week he was arrested for suspected drug possession only hours
after a judge spared him a jail term and ordered him to undergo
rehabilitation for previous narcotics offences.
The pictures came seven months after the Sun's main British tabloid
rival the Daily Mirror printed photographs apparently showing Moss
snorting cocaine while Doherty and his bandmates recorded in a London
studio.
Those images prompted several fashion houses to drop Moss, although her
career has thrived since she left a drug rehabilitation center in the
United States in October.

said. She did not know whether Doherty would be questioned as part of
the investigation.
Tony Linkin, who has spoken on behalf of Doherty in the past, was not
immediately available for comment.

By DEREK KRAVITZ, Associated Press Writer

LONDON - A judge ordered rocker Pete Doherty to attend an 18-month drug
rehabilitation program Thursday and placed him on two years' probation.
Judge Jane McIvor also banned the 27-year-old Babyshambles frontman
from driving for six months because of drug possession.
Doherty had pleaded guilty last month to seven charges of possessing
drugs including heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana, which police said
they found when he was stopped once in December and once in January.
Prosecutors noted the rocker's flippant - yet open - demeanor when
he was arrested Dec. 18, one of a long line of run-ins with police.
Court documents said that when police found plastic bags of crack
cocaine in his right sock, Doherty told officers: "I didn't think I had
it in there."
McIvor told Doherty she would adhere to his pre-planned drug
rehabilitation regimen, choosing the dates of his court-ordered drug
tests around his lengthy tour schedule.
"It's a long, slow process, but you are showing sufficient signs of
compliance and effort," McIvor said. She noted that Doherty hadn't been
arrested for drugs since Jan. 14.
Doherty arrived at Thames Magistrates' Court in a leather jacket, blue
jeans and white sneakers instead of his customary wrinkled suit and
matching fedora. He was mobbed by reporters and fans when he left
court, and police hurried him into a taxi.
His drug problems gained international attention after a newspaper
published pictures last year of then-girlfriend Kate Moss allegedly
using cocaine at a music studio where Doherty and Babyshambles were
recording.
In early February, another judge imposed a 12-month community service
order and required Doherty to submit to regular drug tests.
Doherty missed a separate, court-ordered drug review April 12 after he
was unable to return from Paris, where Babyshambles had played a
concert, his representatives said. That case was adjourned until May.

Hollywood's nastiest celebrity battles
By HEATHER McGILLIVRAY -- Calgary Sun
Celebrity turf wars are as common in Hollywood as Botox injections --whether
it's the catfighting between Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton's
never-ending tirades against Nicole Ritchie, Mischa Barton and anyone else
who's young, thin and prettier.
Although a truce has been called in the music industry -- what with Eminem
and D12 friends again and nobody commenting in their award speeches about
Diddy's video appearances -- in Hollywood, things have reached the boiling
point with stars calling each other out. Here are our 10 picks for the
nastiest all-star feuds currently being waged:
1. TOM CRUISE VS. SOUTH PARK
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker seem to have
the one-up in this battle of religion versus freedom of speech. After yet
another dig at Scientology episode, Isaac Hayes, the voice of Chef, quit the
show. The episode was scheduled to air last week on The Comedy Channel, but
was cut at the last minute. However, because the show works in advance,
Stone and Trey managed to rewrite the last episode, making reference to
Chef's change in views, which lead to his demise.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Apparently, Hayes listed his reason for quitting the show
as "religious intolerability and bigotry." However, given Scientology
spokesman Tom Cruise's intolerability towards psychiatry and medications for
depression, Hayes' reasoning seems a bit hypocritical. It's time to get down
off your high sofa, people.
AND THE TITLE GOES TO: Stone and Parker, for their ability to bounce back
and get on with the show.
2. DONALD TRUMP VS. MARTHA STEWART
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: Trump headed below the belt in an open letter to People
magazine which roasted Martha Stewart's Apprentice spin-off show, The
Apprentice: Martha Stewart. The Donald even threw in a couple remarks about
Stewart's stock market woes, making it clear he is not above rubbing her
face in her past criminal activities.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Stewart's response to Trump's touting of his ratings was to
pump her own show, instead of attacking his a) obvious hair target, b)
unusual love for his daughter, or c) interesting take on staying young by
impregnating young models. Stewart even went so far as to mention children
watched her show, a clear nod to Trump's Apprentice demographics.
AND THE TITLE GOES TO? Stewart, for her fancy footwork and clean clear
shots. Nothing cheap from her, which shouldn't surprise anyone who has tried
to make her recipes.
3. MICHAEL DOUGLAS VS. BRANGELINA
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: Douglas let loose in a candid interview in the next issue
of GQ, questioning Pitt's staying power in his possible impending nuptials
with Jolie. "I don't know about Brad Pitt, leaving that beautiful wife to go
hold orphans for Angelina," Douglas spouted. The Oscar winner also
questioned the judgment of Renee Zellweger and Julia Robert for their
if-you-blinked-you-missed-it marriages to Kenny Chesney and Lyle Lovatt,
respectively.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Pitt hasn't responded to Douglas' well-publicized comments.
Apparently he was too busy holding orphans for Jolie.
AND THE TITLE GOES TO? Douglas, for finally saying -- on the record -- what
all of us have been thinking about Brangelina for the past year.
4. PARIS HILTON VS. ELTON JOHN
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: John, who held a post-Academy Awards bash at the Pacific
Design Center as a fundraiser for his AIDS charity. Tickets were sold for
$2,500. According to reports, Hilton and then-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos III
entered the soiree, but refused to pay the ticket price. Hilton is also
reported to have added fuel to the fire by acting as if she shouldn't have
to pay because of her star status.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Hilton's camp did some spin control when they said Hilton's
accountant cut a cheque for $10,000 to go to the foundation. However, John's
publicity team has yet to issue any statements regarding the illusive
cheque. Add this blacklist to the ever-growing list of "People Who Hate
Paris."
AND THE TITLE GOES TO? Sir Elton by a knockout. The only thing we would like
to see more than Hilton suddenly penniless and anonymous is John and his
nubile nemesis in a cat fight. We know whose claws we'd put our money on.
5. REESE WITHERSPOON VS. KEVIN SMITH
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: In a recent interview with British Maxim Smith decided to
jump in the mud-slinging ring by recounting a meeting with Witherspoon 10
years ago at party. Smith recalls that Witherspoon was quite the diva and
even used some choice words to describe her persona. However, this might
have simply been a push for his book, which tells the story in greater
detail.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Witherspoon has yet to even acknowledge the beef between
her and Smith. Maybe she's too busy polishing her Oscar and reading all the
s on her desk.
AND THE TITLE GOES TO? Witherspoon wins this fight without even setting foot
in the ring. If Smith has to resort to retelling a decade-old story to feel
better about himself, maybe he should get a hobby.
6. KAYNE WEST VS. GEORGE W. BUSH
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: Although this story broke in November, we're still reeling
from West's stray from the teleprompter at the Concert for Hurricane Relief.
West's claimed Bush doesn't care about black people, and referred to the
portrayal of the different races of hurricane victims in the media. Poor
Mike Myers got caught in the crossfire and he was left standing there trying
to find the words to followup West's racial outburst.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Interestingly enough, it's 50 Cent who stepped up to defend
the president. The unusually candid rapper reprimanded West and said there
was no way to know about or prepare for the devastation the hurricane would
reap.
AND THE TITLE GOES TO? West, for going out on a limb and making a political
statement he knew was controversial.
7. CARLOS BOOZER VS. PRINCE
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: Boozer has been renting his West Hollywood home to the
singer for a hefty $70,000 US per month. However, Boozer has recently filed
papers against the singer for unapproved "home renovations" which include
installing purple carpet.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Despite the renovations, Boozer readily accepted rent
cheques from Prince for January and February.
AND THE TITLE GOES TO? This fight's a draw. One the one hand, Prince should
not be above the landlord-tenant agreement. However, Boozer should have
realized a guy who has changed his name at least twice might also decide to
change his house.
8. PETE DOHERTY VS. BRITISH MEDIA
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: Poor Pete, this British rocker can't catch a break. First
supermodel Kate Moss ditches him and then, after pleading guilty to drug
charges, he tangles with reporters outside the courtroom. According to
reports, Doherty kicked a BBC reporter's arm in an attempt to make her drop
her microphone and escape the media frenzy outside the courthouse.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Trudi Barber, the bruised reporter, told E! Online it was a
chaotic scene around the courthouse.
AND THE TITLE GOES TO? The British media, for keeping Doherty close and
holding him tight while throwing carefully aimed body shots at him every
chance they can get.
9. COLIN FARRELL VS. NICOLE NARAIN
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: Colin Farrell has been hot on the trail of the Internet
release of his steamy sex tape created with Narain. Not only has he
succeeded in getting (most of) the tape taken off the worldwide web through
a court restraining order, according to paperwork on the Smokinggun.com,
Farrell is also suing Narain.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Narain's covering all her bases and has signed an agreement
with the Internet Commerce Group (ICG) stating should she win the suit, she
can expect a seven-figure payout. Even if she loses the suit, Narain will
still get $100,000.
AND THE TITLE GOES TO? Narain, for her slick moves both on and off the
camera.
10. NICK LACHEY VS. JESSICA SIMPSON
THE HEAVYWEIGHT: Lachey has been all over the media lately flaunting his
single status, whether it's been dinner with Kristin Cavallari, who's only
19 years old to Lachey's 32 years, or the release of his new single What's
Left Of Me. Critics say the video for the single is clearly about his and
Simpson's marriage breakdown and some are even comparing it to Justin
Timberlake's breakout hit and Britney Spears-themed Cry Me A River.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT: Simpson has been dodging rumours of infidelity long before
their marriage was dissolved.
AND THE TITLE GOES TO? Both contestants are disqualified because they both
stopped the fight to mug for the cameras.

Did Kate Moss Do Coke In Nelson Mandela's House?
Old friends come out of wood work...
By: Lowri Williams on 3/6/2006
More pictures of Kate Moss sitting next to what looks like a hug pile of
cocaine have been published today.
The Sun have shown the supermodel in a series of pictures looking 'off her
head' while in South Africa several years ago.
The tabloid has also claimed that Moss took coke while she was visiting
Nelson Mandela at his home!!!
According to the South African based model booker, Gavin Maselle, Moss was a
serious coke user who was high as a kite every time they met during their
eight year friendship.
He said to the paper: "Kate has been addicted for years. I truly hope she
stays off the coke because if she ever goes back, it will be the end of
her."
According to 'Gavin', Kate was getting ready to meet Mandela with fellow
model Naomi Campbell when she dragged him off to the toilets for a line.
He said: "She was insatiable I couldn't believe what I was seeing. We were
there at Mandela's house in the Bishop's Court area of Cape Town and Kate
was doing coke."
That's pretty rock and roll.kind of on a par with The Beatles smoking a
spliff in Buckingham Palace..
Oh and that Gavin sounds like a really nice guy and a great friend.not a
gold digger at all!

Moss Back in with Burberry
British supermodel Kate Moss appeared at Burberry's 150th birthday show in
Milan Thursday night, despite having been dropped by the label after her
cocaine shame last year.
The catwalk beauty sat in the front row between photographer Mario Testino
and publisher Jefferson Hack, the father of her daughter, Lila Grace.
A spokesman says, "Kate is part of the Burberry family and it is only
natural that she should be here."

Moss to stay in UK
From: BANG Showbiz
February 24, 2006
UK supermodel Kate Moss is reportedly staying in Britain, cancelling earlier
plans to move to the US after her drug scandal.
Moss spent most of her time in the US in the wake of her cocaine scandal,
and was planning to live in Los Angeles permanently.
Moss enrolled her three-year-old daughter, Lila, at an American nursery and
splashed out thousands renting a plush mansion in Malibu.
But the 32-year-old catwalk queen - who lost several lucrative modelling
contracts after shocking images of her snorting the drug were published last
year - has apparently decided she wants to give Britain another chance.
Moss allegedly changed her mind after flying back to the UK to be quizzed
over the drug allegations.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "She suddenly realised how
much she enjoyed being back and how much she had missed her life here.
"She has withdrawn Lila from the US nursery and is making plans to settle
back here for good."
Moss was also allegedly overheard telling former All Saints star Nicole
Appleton at a recent concert: "I'm really glad to be home after all the s**t
that has happened. "It's been a difficult few months."

Moss Late with Company Accounts
Troubled supermodel Kate Moss has been so busy since the fall-out of her
cocaine scandal last year, she has fallen behind with her company accounts.
The 32-year-old catwalk queen, whose life was thrown into turmoil when the
British newspaper Daily Mirror published images of her snorting cocaine, has
failed to submit the company numbers for Skate Enterprises, of which she is
sole shareholder, to Britain's Department of Trade and Industry.
Despite losing contracts with Burberry, Chanel and H&M fashion houses as a
result of the drug scandal, Moss still possesses a personal fortune
estimated at over $27 million.

Lohan, Moss' pole dance at topless bar
azcentral.com
Jan. 12, 2006 8:55 AM
New B.F.F.'s Lindsay Lohan and Kate Moss shook things up at New York's
Scores strip club in the wee hours of yesterday morning putting on a
bump-and-grind pole-dancing session for the club's 400 shocked patrons,
reports the New York Post's gossip column 'Page Six.'
Lohan, Moss and a few of their female friends descended upon the topless
club just before 3:00 a.m. and went directly into the club's famous
Champagne Room, where the group downed a number of vodka shots, raspberry
Kamikazes and beer and were treated to plenty of lapdances from the
strippers that surrounded their table.
Moss moved to the main bar and tried out her own dirty dancing moves. The
newly rehabbed supermodel got hot and heavy with one of the club's poles.
"Kate was going wild," a witness told 'Page Six.' "After a few songs,
Lindsay jumped on stage with her. They were swinging on the pole with their
arms around each other's waists, kissing each other, caressing each other,
just acting like strippers. The crowd was cheering them on the whole time.
They didn't take off any clothes, but it was very hot."
Scores spokesman Lonnie Hanover would only say, "We don't talk about our
celebrity clientele."
The Post did manage to get someone to dish on the night's events, paparazzi
memeber James Edstrom. The celebrity photog saw some of the events unfold
and followed Lohan and Moss out of the club when they left some time after 4
a.m.
"They were both running in and out of the ladies' room a lot," Edstrom said.
"I saw when it was just Lindsay dancing solo and Kate was yelling, 'You're a
pro, Lindsay! You should do this for a living!'
"When they left, I went outside, pulled out my camera and asked Lindsay,
'May I please take your picture?' That's when her bodyguard went off. He
slammed me against the wall. She jumped in her SUV and got on her cell
phone. Kate was already driving away in another car, yelling 'F - - - you!'
at me."

She'll confess and get a suspended sentence. If she's smart, she'll wangle
a date out of one of the police commanders.

Moss Will Return to Face Police
Shamed supermodel Kate Moss will return to Britain within a month to face
police questioning over her alleged drug abuse. The catwalk beauty left the
UK in September after images from a video showing her purportedly snorting
cocaine in a London recording studio were published in a British newspaper.
Despite completing a 30-day stint in an Arizona rehabilitation clinic, Moss
has continued to evade Britain, and is reportedly considering a permanent
move to Los Angeles. But a friend of the 31-year-old insists she has always
been willing to face the police, and is simply waiting for a break in her
busy work schedule. He says, "She is expected to volunteer to see the police
in the next month or so. She has always said that she will return to Britain
and is happy to cooperate. There has never been any suggestion that she will
stay in the US." On Wednesday London's Metropolitan Police assistant
commissioner Tarique Ghaffur made a direct appeal to Moss to answer police
questions or face arrest under caution.
