Does anyone have the budget figures for Aniston's movies? How much
profit has she made the studios? Even disregarding the fact that the
Aniston figures are from the 2000's and the Hanks figures are from the
1980's, he did at least as good as, if not better than, Aniston in terms
of making the studios money - even with what you consider to be his
stinkers (and I was SHOCKED to find out he took 12.3 million for Club
Paradise!).

Please don't feel like I'm singling you out, but, what a cop
out.....and frankly I'm tired of hearing that definition of Aniston.
indifferent, C+ movies?
Bosom Buddies, Splash, The Money Pit, Turner & Hooch - not exactly
blockbusters for Tom Hanks. Man he should have quit years ago - no
talent hack.
The World According to Garp, Club Paradise, Moscow on the Hudson - But
does anyone doubt Robin Williams' talent anymore? - Go back to your
planet you one hit wonder.
And don't get me started on Keanu Reeves. I've hated him as an actor
for years (walking cardboard - I think was the phrase), but I've come
to love his choice in movies from the last decade.
In fact, each and every actor, Kathy Bates, Jodie Foster, Judi Dench
have all done exactly what Aniston is doing right now. Working on
their craft, getting the and making it work. The only
difference is, they didn't have to go through an affair, breakup and
pregnancy while other people judged the "Moscow's" and "Hooch's" along
the way. No one knows if she will hit it big. Just like all the rest
of them, how she "continues" will be the telling factor.
As far as C+ movies go, with the exception of "Best Movie of the Year",
there aren't very many A+ s going around. IMHO, some years, even
the awards are reaching to find something to nominate. The fact is,
there are about 2 dozen movies this year alone, that would have
"sucked" in your opinion, had Aniston been in them, but because she
wasn't.....not a bad movie, not good, but not bad.
The only thing working against Aniston right now is her continued
association with BP and AJ. If she can keep her head up through all of
this, and continues to do as the others have done. She just might
prove all of you wrong. And IF that happens, she would have done
something that AJ could only dream of. Respect that she doesn't have
to.........what's the phrase I'm looking for?......Broadcast and
Advertise to get. Aniston doesn't have a bad image to change, she was
given a bad image that she can overcome. Time will tell.

Brad who? It's the Jen and Vince show
June 5, 2006
Hollywood's latest game of "are they, aren't they" comes to Sydney, writes
Bob Strauss.
JENNIFER ANISTON is cold. So she's bundled in a bulky terry-cloth robe,
covering the slinky, spaghetti-strap black dress she's been poured into. Oh,
well.
Still, it's a charming expression of the regular-gal persona that's been the
actress's stock-in-trade for the dozen years since Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends hit the airwaves.
Ask everyone who's ever worked with her, and they confirm that it's a big
part of Aniston's real-life demeanour.
But Aniston's far from un-self-conscious. She can't afford to be, after more
than a year's worth of tabloid scrutiny, first about her broken marriage to
Brad Pitt, then a suspected romance with Vince Vaughn, her co-star in The
Break-Up. The scrutiny will continue tonight when Aniston and Vaughn attend
a red-carpet Australian premiere of the film at Sydney's State Theatre.
Neither of them will confirm or deny a romance. But now, with Pitt's
girlfriend Angelina Jolie giving birth a week before Aniston's movie comes
out, it's paparazzi fodder again.
"What's in the papers and all that silly stuff - unless you sit down and do
an interview, it's not real," Aniston says, shrugging beneath her cosy folds
of white cotton. "That's all fabricated. There's a thread of truth here and
there, like, the characters are usually correct. But what the content is is
usually beyond fabricated silliness.
"But there's a lot of privacy that you have," she adds, irrepressibly upbeat
about a sore subject. "It's maybe hard to go from here to there, and there
are days when I'm really fine with it and days I'm frustrated with it. But .
I know that it will die down, I know that this will not be interesting.
People will finally - hopefully - turn their heads to things that are of
greater importance that are happening in our world."
The timing of filming The Break-Up in Chicago last summer, right about the
time that Pitt and Jolie were making loads of news, is not lost on her.
"The irony of it? Well, yeah," she says with, naturally, perfect comic
timing. "At the time, it was something that I thought about . When I first
got the phone call that a movie called The Break-Up was coming, I kind of
laughed and thought, 'Well, that's funny.' Then, sure enough, it was. I
found it like a sign or something to do it.
"It was, in a way, a cathartic thing. I felt very lucky, in a way, that it
came to me. If this had come to me at any other time in my life, I don't
know if I would have been able to really get it at the level I wanted to as
an actor."
Vaughn, who produced and oversaw the writing of the project he calls an
anti-romantic comedy, knew from the beginning Aniston was the only woman for
him. That is, for his character in the movie. "What are you alluding to?" he
says, when asked about his chemistry with Aniston. He keeps the answer
professional. Well, almost.
"When we were developing the screenplay, she was the only actor that I had
in mind because she's so good with comedy, and she's also a very good
actor," Vaughn says. "And she has a quality to her that's inherent, where
she's very likeable. There's a warmth to Jennifer, and these characters are
both very flawed. So it's important to have that. And when we started the
rehearsal process, I was really impressed right away with her acting, her
timing, all of that.
"And, yes, I did like her right off the bat as a person as well. I think
she's terrific."
One thing the movie allowed Aniston to do was play someone who's not so
terrific. Though Vaughn's Gary Grobowski is no prize, her Brooke Meyers can
be manipulating, vindictive, whiny and plain mean.
"Hee-hee! Yeah, it was great for me," says Aniston, who - from Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends to
broad comedy hits such as Along Came Polly and Bruce Almighty to darker
indie affairs like The Good Girl and The Object of My Affection - almost
always plays women whose niceness causes them no end of trouble.
"It felt good just to get pissed off. I'm not a yeller or a fighter by
nature, so it was fun to play it."
Apparently, it was just acting.
"For someone who's been around so long and had such success in television
and in movies . Jen is just so unaffected by it," says Break-Up director
Peyton Reed. "And given the extra level of scrutiny she was under last
summer when we were shooting, I was constantly impressed by the grace with
which she dealt with it."
"When I see bad behaviour from actors or actresses, I just don't understand
it," Aniston says.
"You know, I have great people that surround me, and nobody will let me get
away with anything. Meaning, if I ever did start to become affected, an army
of my friends from the days of yore would instantly pull me right back to
the ground. There's nothing that's more unattractive than bad behaviour from
somebody that takes themselves too seriously."
There are plenty of stars who think they have a right to take themselves
"too seriously," but Aniston has been around the business a long time. Her
father, John Aniston, appeared for years on the daytime soap Days of Our
Lives. Aniston, however, won't go for such simple explanations to explain
her attitude. "I don't know where it comes from," she says.
"I mean, I'm sure that everything from your childhood has a lot to do with
who you are. But I think it has more to do with the fact I wasn't successful
really quickly. I was a waitress, and again, in my group of friends that
I've had for a long time, only two of them are actresses. I keep giving my
friends all the credit."

Please thank him so very much for sharing this with us.
I have moved from my stunned shock into tears upon reading his loving words.
How rare indeed it is to find someone so pure to love with all you have, and
have that returned as it clearly was for them.
I keep thinking about her precious little babies.... my heart breaks for how
much they're going to miss her too.
I feel like I've lost a member of my own family. I know we all feel that

I miss her already so much.....

Aniston takes on the tabloids
May 31, 2006 - 12:08PM
Maybe it was a joke. Or perhaps Jennifer Aniston was having a dig at her
ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and his new flame, Angelina Jolie.
Aniston was sitting at a press conference in Los Angeles to promote her new
comedy, The Break-Up, when a reporter asked if she was interested in using
her celebrity to tackle any of the world's important issues.
Pitt and Jolie, in between giving birth to daughter Shiloh Nouvel, have been
vocal about Africa, AIDS and refugees.
So, was Aniston interested in any global issues?
How about the war in Iraq or global warming?
"No," Aniston replied. "I'm not interested in any of that.
"I like to just focus on me and my tabloid career."
Her deadpan answer, dripping with sarcasm, scored plenty of laughs.
Aniston went on to say she had plenty of interests, but opted not to reveal
them at the press conference.
This poster girl of the tabloids does not give up too much about herself
these days, something Australian journalists will learn when she arrives
next week in Sydney to promote The Break-Up.
"I have a lot of other interests," Aniston, 37, said defensively.
"But, I don't need to tell you all my interests, but there's a lot."
One campaign she probably would not mind leading is a ban on tabloids.
They ran stories about troubles in her marriage to Pitt for months before
the star couple officially announced on January 7 last year that they were
separating after more than four years of marriage.
The split then sent the tabloids into another frenzy as they chronicled
Pitt's relationship with his Mr and Mrs Smith co-star, Jolie, and Aniston's
apparent romance with Vince Vaughan, her co-star in The Break-Up.
Aniston and Vaughan have managed to neither confirm or deny a romance,
despite plenty of sightings of the two together.
"There's a lot happening in the world," Aniston said. "It's one of the
things I always say is these tabloids are just distracting people from the
issues and the things that are happening in the world.
"Read a newspaper. Read about what's going on in the world.
"It's quite embarrassing to be the centre of all of those trash magazines
when there is so much going on that needs people's attention.
"But I also think its a way for people to distract themselves from all of
it. It's just like having junk food."
In The Break-Up Aniston plays Brooke, who splits with her boyfriend Gary
(Vaughan). They share an apartment, but both refuse to leave it, resulting
in a campaign of mental warfare.
It was a different story for Aniston and Pitt when they called it quits.
The $US25 million Beverly Hills mansion the pair meticulously renovated sat
empty for months after their break-up, with Aniston and Pitt moving to
separate homes in Malibu while the home went on the market.
Pitt and Jolie have also made the impoverished southern African nation of
Namibia their home for the birth of their daughter and Aniston could be on
the move too.
Vaughan has just bought a house in Chicago, the mid-west US city where he
was raised and The Break-Up was shot, and Aniston has said plenty of nice
things about the place.
She has also hinted about moving back to where she was raised, New York.
"This industry is so concentrated here (in LA)," Aniston said.
"It's hard to feel like a normal person and just to be able to get out
amongst the people.
"That's what I love about New York City. You are around all walks of life.
"You don't feel like you're a piece of chum."
As for men and relationships, Aniston says the differences between men and
women are what make relationships "interesting".
Just when her audience thinks she might be offering another sarcastic joke,
she says she is serious.
"Truthfully," Aniston adds.
The former star of the long-running sitcom Friends has obviously picked up a
few relationship tips from the breakdown of her marriage to Pitt.
"Men and women are different," Aniston explained.
"You either accept it and (if you do) then you can walk through it a lot
easier."

In-Vince-ible bond

May 31, 2006
Keeping their distance ... Vince Vaughn'>Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston in The Break Up
THEY might be in the throes of one of Hollywood's hottest relationships but
Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn'>Vince Vaughn will be anything but loved-up when they
hit Sydney this Sunday.
The couple's behaviour at Monday night's red carpet premiere of The Break Up
is expected to mirror their performance at the LA screening last week, when
Vaughn and Aniston went to great lengths to keep their distance and only
appeared together in a group photo with the film's cast.
The lovebirds' Sydney schedule allows for free days on Sunday and Monday but
they will then promote the romantic comedy separately during official duties
on Tuesday - even conducting individual press conferences.
The couple will travel with an entourage of six - including personal
stylists and makeup artists - and have booked separate suites at a top city
hotel.
"I've not been told why - that's the way they promoted the film in the US
and that's the way it's being done here," a United International Pictures
spokeswoman told Confidential yesterday.
Despite photo evidence of their cosy union constantly emerging since filming
The Break-Up, Aniston and Vaughn have captured the world's attention by
refusing to admit they're an item.
While Aniston's ex Brad Pitt snuggles up to Angelina Jolie and their newborn
baby Shiloh in Namibia, excited Sydney fans will be lucky to glimpse the
former Friends star anywhere near her burly bloke at The Break-Up premiere
at the State Theatre.

She's had plenty of breaks- several starring roles in absolutely
indifferent, C+ movies. She also has minimal talent. She looks like and
plays the same character type she played in the sitcom, except for maybe
"The Good Girl," which was pretty good, both as a movie and her for her
acting.
As one poster once said, the "Friends" people got hit with the lucky
stick. Some of them are smart enough to realize that and find other
things to do now that they don't have to get paid.

Things grew tense on Tuesday morning's Today show when Jennifer Aniston
was asked about a rumor that Oprah Winfrey was planning to throw an $8
million wedding for her and boyfriend Vince Vaughn.
"I thought you weren't going to go there," Catherine Keener, Aniston's
costar in the new movie Friends with Money, said to Today entertainment
reporter Jill Rappaport as Aniston and costar Joan Cusack looked on
silently.
When Rappaport asked the question, Aniston had just finished saying she
didn't mind giving interviews, so long as the topic was the movie, not
her love life.
Rappaport acknowledged Keener's instinct to protect Aniston, but said
she was still curious about the rumors because she herself had never
been to an $8 million wedding.
"And now you won't be," said Keener, as Aniston remained tight-lipped.
Friends with Money opens in limited engagements Friday.
In addition to promoting her new film, Aniston has also recently been
in Chicago with Vaughn shooting additional scenes for the couple's
upcoming film The Break Up.

As it turns out, Joey may be the least of Matt LeBlanc's worries.
The sitcom star and his wife announced the end of their nearly

The news comes just months after the couple's two-year-old daughter was
said to be undergoing tests for a neurological disorder, and just weeks
after LeBlanc's disappointing Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends.html' title='Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends'>Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends.html' title='Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends.html' title='Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends'>Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends'>Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends.html' title='Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends'>Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends spinoff, Joey, was put on hiatus
for the second time this season.
Divorce papers were filed in Los Angeles, with LeBlanc doing the
filing, according to the National Enquirer, which was first out with
word of the split.
"The dissolution is amicable," an NBC spokesman said in a statement on
behalf of LeBlanc and wife Melissa. "They remain devoted parents and
friends."
LeBlanc, 38, and the former Melissa McKnight, in her late 30s or early
40s, wed in May 2003 in Hawaii. The ceremony was attended by all of

In January, People reported that Marina had been suffering seizures and

was suffering from cortical dysplasia, defined by Medcyclopaedia.com as
an abnormality of the brain's cerebral cortex.
Just two years ago, LeBlanc called himself "the luckiest guy in the
world."
"I have two beautiful stepkids, as well as my new daughter, Marina,"
the actor told Calgary Sun at the time. "I'm so great that I keep

Thanks to Joey, LeBlanc didn't have to wait long.

When Joey returned last fall, Joey Tribiani became more successful; the
show less so. NBC benched the comedy after the November sweeps. Earlier
this month, the network moved it to Tuesday--briefly. After one dismal
showing--a fifth-place finish behind a Spanish-language novella--Joey
got yanked from the schedule again. While it hasn't been formally
canceled, it isn't expected to be asked back for the fall, either.
In addition to his ratings struggles, LeBlanc found himself in a P.R.
bind last summer when the Enquirer got him to go on the record about a
night out at a strip club.
LeBlanc and his wife "split up" in January, the Enquirer reported
Thursday. The couple had been together for years prior to their
marriage. They first announced their engagement back in 1998.

Jennifer Aniston is laughing off the suggestion that she and ex-husband
Brad Pitt are in competition as to who will remarry first.
"That's a pretty funny one, that there's a race," Aniston tells TV's

Aniston is dating her Break Up costar Vince Vaughn. Pitt is expecting a
child with Angelina Jolie.
As for what the former Friends star is ultimately looking for in a
partner, she says: "First loyalty, honesty ... good sense of humor."
While promoting her new movie Friends With Money, which opens in
limited engagements April 7, Aniston also spoke to Entertainment

Los Angeles.
"I've thought about it a lot for a long time," she says. "This is not

it's exhausting, it's silly."
Still she says, "I love my job." She just doesn't like having to pay

you wish there were more of that ... but this is what I've chosen with

No, we do not need a reunion show. Has any sitcom ever
had a reunion show worth watching? Two lame ones come
to mind - 'The Dick Van Dyke Show' and 'One Day at a Time'.
However, most of the 'Friends.html' title='Friends'>Friends' actors need some splashy new
project, they need the attention a reunion show would bring,
Kudrow and Cox especially.
Isn't Schwimmer on Broadway right now? I think he's in
'The Caine Mutiny' or some soldier-type play.

Do we NEED a reunion show? Why do THEY need a reunion show?
This is the cast that made a million dollars each, per episode, the
last few years of the series?
Go away.
Kris
No, we do not need a reunion show. Has any sitcom ever
had a reunion show worth watching? Two lame ones come
to mind - 'The Dick Van Dyke Show' and 'One Day at a Time'.

Besides, they can easily do a 2-hour "Very Special Joey" episode and have
any of the willing show up for a visit...

I'd say Schwimmer too...I remember an EW article with the cast,
sometime before the final season had been negotiated, in which he said
something like "it's not about the money - I need to be excited." I
take it he's not excited about a reunion. What fans would be, though?
Two of the couples are married, we know what happened to Joey. Why
contrive some silly "Ross and Rachel are now separated and
contemplating divorce, can they get back together in two hours?" plot?
