Socialite Nicky Hilton and her actor boyfriend Kevin Connolly got 2006 off
to an expensive start at midnight on Saturday when they cracked open a
$100,000 (?83,000) bottle of champagne.
The couple were hosting a New Year's Eve party at Caesar's Palace nightclub
Pure and couldn't resist uncorking one of Sin City's most expensive bottles
of bubbly.
Meanwhile, Hilton's sister Paris staged her own Las Vegas party at new club
Tao, housed at the Venetian hotel and casino.

IN the world of young Greek billionaires, Paris Hilton, 24, has traded
up.
Hilton - who ditched her fianc=E9 Paris Latsis, 23, a month ago but
only formally announced it last week - has been romancing Mary-Kate
Olsen's boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos, 20, whose princely family makes
the Latsis clan, worth $7.5 billion according to Forbes, seem nouveau
riche.
On Friday, the new duo showed up at Spider Club in L.A. and "made out
all night and closed the place down," our spy said.
The next night, the couple was at Element with Paris' sister Nicky.
Paris "tried to get the club to turn the lights down so no one could
see her and Stavros make out," another spywitness recalled. "She also
got the club to clear out the bathrooms for her and her friends so that
no 'fans' would be in there with her."
Insiders predict Hilton's latest pairing - the party girl was also
spotted cozying up to her music producer, Scott Storch, last month -
won't last because the reserved Niarchos clan is so publicity-shy they
didn't like Stavros dating Olsen.
"They haven't seen anything yet," snickered our source.
The Stavros conquest is also threatening Hiltie's friendship with Olsen
and her sister Ashley because Mary-Kate is said to feel betrayed. In
fact, a lot of Hilton's famous friends seem to be flocking elsewhere.
"One Tree Hill" star Sophia Bush, Jessica Simpson, Hilary Duff, Lindsay

to do for HarperCollins.
Kathy Hilton has told friends, "If anyone participates in the book they
will be banned from the family," and has even threatened several
people, telling them, "I can make your life very difficult [if you help

Paris and Nicky Hilton's mother Kathy has hit out at the way her heiress
daughters are portrayed as spoiled brats in the media.
The celebrity sisters' globe-trotting and party-fueled lifestyles have
filled celebrity gossip pages, but Kathy insists most people have the wrong
impression of her children.
She says, "It used to really upset me the way my family is portrayed in the
media. As parents we try to keep our kids grounded and appreciate the
opportunities they're given. I think everyone has an exaggerated idea of who
we are. But, all I can really do is laugh it off and realize it's a part of
who we are.
"Those stories about Paris and Nicky having credit cards when they were 9
and 10 are ridiculous. Paris was 20 when she got her first one and Nicky was
19.
"I think we are nice people, and we are a close family. We go on vacations
together, Paris and Nicky babysit their brothers, we like to barbecue and I
love to cook a big family dinner at least once a month, like when we are out

happiness." Nicholas Callaway, founder and chief executive officer of
Callaway Arts & Entertainment, announced the book's publication
Tuesday.
A children's book, slated for publication in late 2006, is part of a
two-book deal that Kimora Lee Simmons has signed with Regan Books, the
publisher announced Monday.
Regan Books will also publish a how-to lifestyle guide by Simmons,
creator of the Baby Phat clothing label. Set for publication in
February, the book will include "inspiring and personal stories" from
the former model, who is married to hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and
is the mother of two daughters.
"If you think she got there just by being beautiful and marrying well,
wait till you read the real story behind this remarkable woman," Judith
Regan, publisher and founder of Regan Books, said in a statement.
Simmons is among 44 celebrities, including Paris and Nicky Hilton,

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - A multimillion-dollar family feud over who
controls the ailing socialite Zsa Zsa Gabor's will has spilled into the
courtroom.
Gabor and her ninth husband are suing her only daughter, accusing
Francesca Hilton of stealing $2 million by forging her mother's
signature to take out a loan on Gabor's $14 million Bel Air home.
Gabor's husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt said Friday that Hilton took
the money in March because she's worried she won't get enough when her
mother dies. Hilton said he actually manipulated the 88-year-old Gabor
to get into her will, and she refinanced the home with her mother's
permission to protect the money.
The suit filed Wednesday in Superior Court alleges elder abuse, fraud
and intentional infliction of emotional distress. It seeks to force
Hilton to return the money and asks for punitive damages.
Without holding a hearing, a judge on Friday rejected a request for
immediate action on the suit and scheduled motions to be heard on June
28.
The inheritance spat involves family names associated with the most
lavish of lifestyles. Hilton's father was Gabor's second husband, hotel
magnate Conrad Hilton. She's the great-aunt of Paris and Nicky Hilton.
But Francesca Hilton has ignored glamour tips from her mom. She
appeared in court Friday wearing a T-shirt and jacket, plain black
pants and untied green-and-gold metallic sneakers with no socks. She
said she'd been playing pool until 2:30 a.m.
The woman at the center of the case, Gabor, remains partially paralyzed
from a 2002 car accident and Hilton said her mental health is
suffering. Her husband of 19 years, the 60-year-old Prinz von Anhalt,
declined to make her available to speak with an Associated Press
reporter.
"She is just furious" at her daughter's actions, said Prinz von Anhalt,
who cares for Gabor in the five-bedroom Bel Air home. Built by producer
Howard Hughes and once owned by Elvis Presley, it has views of Catalina
Island and the downtown Los Angeles skyline.
"Francesca is afraid something is going to happen to her mother one
day, and her husband is in the last will. She can't take that," he
said. "She always comes for a handout to her mother. She always wants
money, money, money, money."
"She is lying her head off about everything."
Hilton called her mother "a manic-depressive" but said she remains
close to her and was outraged when she was locked out of Gabor's home
last Mother's Day.
"I never in my life thought I'd be going to court against my mother,"
she said. She said she despises her stepfather and accused him of being
"in it for the money."
"You know what elder abuse is? That's what's happening with my mother,"
she said. Frederic is trying to take everything. I refinanced the house
with her permission in order to stop that."
Hilton was not represented by an attorney in court but said she had
retained one within the past few days. She couldn't remember his name
but said he was in Santa Maria serving as a legal expert for TV
stations covering the Michael Jackson trial.
Gabor, a former Miss Hungary, began appearing in movies in the 1950s
and then followed with many guest roles in television series, specials
and game shows.
She has often played herself, parlaying her larger-than-life, haughty
glamour into a half-century stay in the limelight.
But her royal air has gotten her in trouble. In 1989 she slapped a
Beverly Hills police officer who stopped her for expired license
plates. She was sentenced to 72 hours in jail and 120 hours of
community service at a women's shelter.
Gabor, sisters Eva and Magda, and their mother, Jolie, all emigrated to
America around the time of World War II. Eva, also a film and TV
actress who starred in "Green Acres," died in 1995 at age 74. Mother
Jolie died in 1997 at age 97 and sister Magda, who lived largely out of
the spotlight, died in 1997 at age 78.

Paris Hilton has two words for her former BFF Nicole Richie: You're
fired.
Pals of Hilton claim that the "Simple Life" socialite ditched her
childhood friend - both on camera and off - after Nicole started a
jealous whispering campaign.
"Its no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends," Hilton
said in a statement. "I will not go into the details of what happened.
All I will say is that Nicole knows what she did and that's all I am
ever going to say about it."
Hilton loyalists wonder if Richie may have had something to do with the
incident at Nicky Hilton's apartment, where a group gathered to watch a
tape of Paris hosting "Saturday Night Live." When the tape was placed
in the VCR, it was not "SNL" but Paris' infamous sex video.
Richie, 23, is also said to have made her own "Simple Life" highlight
reel to show friends - with Hilton edited out.
An insider says Fox wants to shoot a fourth season of the hit show with
a top-tier co-star to replace Richie. But while their wish list
includes names like Lindsay Lohan and Mary-Kate and/or Ashley Olsen,
Paris is holding out for her pal Kimberly Stewart, the wild child
daughter of rocker Rod Stewart and Alana Hamilton.
"Fox haven't yet said 'yes' to Kim, but the show makes so much money
that Paris is likely to win this one," says the source.
Both Fox and Richie's rep say no decision has been made about her
participation in a fourth season.

Hilton digs in heels

PARTY girl Nicky Hilton is trying to stick the boot into Kerry Packer.
She is suing his publishing company for allegedly making it look like she
endorses Pony Shoes.
In documents lodged with the Federal Court in Melbourne, Ms Hilton says she
would have charged a fee for putting her feet into what are described as the
hottest items in Hollywood.
The Hilton Hotel heiress is seeking unspecified damages, claiming loss of
income and profit.
Ms Hilton's statement of claim accuses ACP Publishing of using a photograph
of her wearing Pony Shoes to illustrate a competition run by NW (New Weekly)
magazine in Australia.
She is also suing World Brands Management - the Australian distributor of
Pony Shoes.
Ms Hilton, 21, claims she never agreed to endorse Pony Shoes and or be part
of the NW competition.
She accuses NW of engaging in misleading and deceptive conduct, and World
Brands Management of aiding and abetting that conduct.
Ms Hilton's statement of claims says if she had endorsed Pony Shoes, she
would have charged a fee.
The statement says the December 6, 2004 issue of NW published a photo of Ms
Hilton wearing Pony Shoes next to the heading "Exclusive NW and Pony Shoes
Competition". It claims the wording next to the photograph was: "Pony Shoes
are the hottest item in Hollywood right now. In just two years Pony Shoes
have worked their way on to the feet of Hollywood celebs including Nicky
Hilton and more."
Melbourne lawyer Tony Watson, for World Brands Management, said the company
was surprised at Ms Hilton's stance.
"All it did was supply footwear, free of charge, for the purposes of the
competition," he said.
The case has been adjourned to April 8, with mediation to take place on or
before March 30.

NICKY Hilton was wearing the same Rebecca Davies dress as Seven's Melanie
Symons. "Oh my god, I have the same dress as Nicky Hilton," Symons said.
Paris Hilton played it safe by wearing her own barely-there creation.
THE poor things had some difficulty understanding the antics of Roy and HG
on Cup eve. The peroxided Hilton pair were interviewed by the comedians and
had some trouble understanding the show or the humour.
The funniest part was the look on Nicky's face when presented with the
traditional Roy and HG parting gifts of a pair of stained shorts and a
toilet roll holder. Nicky left them behind.
WHILE everyone else was fawning over the Hilton girls, Confidential
understands that Moet had not fallen under their spell. While the situation
never arose, Moet was apparently not very keen to let the girls in.
NEXT on the Hilton girls itinerary is a five-day stay at the exclusive
Palazzo Versace hotel on the Gold Coast for a (well-deserved) break before
they return to Melbourne for Fashion Week next week. A holiday while on
holiday?
DURING their Sydney stay, the girls went shopping in Paddington. Nicky said
she fell in love with the stuff at Sportsgirl - yes, Sportsgirl. Second
preference was Wayne Cooper, Bettina Liano and Gary Castle shoes. Weirdly,
Paris was equally impressed with Sportsgirl.

Lisa Marie Presley has vowed she will never allow her daughter to turn into
a "dumb twit" like socialites Paris and Nicky Hilton.
Presley - daughter of Elvis and actress Priscilla - has boasted that unlike
the hotel heiresses, her 15-year-old daughter Riley is the perfect example
of a well-brought up child who doesn't dress or act like a "tramp".
The 36-year-old says, "Riley doesn't look like a tramp. She doesn't have
that whole "I'm-gonna-be-a-sexy-teenager" thing."
Referring to the Hilton sisters, Presley said: "Those two are the epitome of
what my mother raised me not to be. I don't know what they've done. Maybe
it's the bleach that fascinates people."

STAMOS' BRIEF NEW LOVE
Actor John Stamos has found new love following his split from wife Rebecca
Romijn -- but friends don't expect it to last.
A year after the couple separated, Stamos has begun dating socialite
Charlotte Freund.
But pals insist Stamos shouldn't get excited about any longterm
relationship -- because the "it girl" still hasn't got over former beau Todd
Meister, who himself recently split from wife Nicky Hilton.
A source tells Page Six, "Charlotte is moving to Paris. She is only 20. Todd
broke her heart and she has never gotten over him."
Last month Stamos said he would "be really happy to be in love again" but
has struggled to move on following his split from Romijn, because he is "not
good" at dating.

Girls just wanna have fun - and no one has more fun than hotel heiresses Paris
and Nicky Hilton.
The outrageous young sisters - Paris is 22, and Nicky is 20 - just love being
in the limelight.
They flirt shamelessly and flash their legs in micro-minis, undressing just
enough in skimpy designer duds to make themselves a permanent fixture on the
gossip pages.
These perennial party girls have also been linked to a long list of famous men,
including Leonardo DiCaprio, Jared Leto, Nicolas Cage and Girls Gone Wild
founder Joe Francis.
"People love to hate us," said Paris during a visit to Australia this month
with her sister. "But when you know us, you love us."
She can't understand why people could possibly be envious just because the
sisters are rich and beautiful. "It's not my fault," she says. "Why be mad at
me?"
"We're nice girls," insists Nicky. "We've been at parties where you just see
people whispering. It's not nice."
Unlike most celebrities, the Hilton girls, heirs to a $300 million fortune, are
famous mainly for being famous.
But now Paris is about to become a TV star in a wacky prime-time reality show
that makes her sound like a cross between Jessica Simpson and Anna Nicole
Smith.
For "The Simple Life," which is billed as the real-life version of the '60s
sitcom "Green Acres, she was sent to a farm in remote Altus, Ark., population
817, where she milked cows and even ate fried squirrel.
"I never realized people work for their money," she reveals, adding that, on
the positive side, the tanning salons were very cheap.
"The Simple Life," which also stars Nicole Richie, daughter of singer Lionel,
debuts on Fox in December.
Paris also, appropriately enough, plays a character named Barbie in the Val
Kilmer movie "Wonderland." Nicky, on the other hand, is building a career in
fashion. She's already created 12 handbags for the Japanese firm Samantha
Thavasa. Eventually, she wants to bring out her own line of denim.
The sisters are the great-granddaughters of hotel baron Conrad Hilton. Their
mother, Kathy Richards, was a child actress, and their father, Rick, has a
real-estate firm in Beverly Hills. Paris and Nicky grew up amid luxury —
first in a 40-room L.A mansion, and then in the penthouse suite of the
Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York.
They were waited on by nannies, personal chefs and chauffeurs. At the Waldorf,
they had breakfast delivered by room service every morning on a tray with fine
silverware and linen.
"It was weird growing up in a hotel and going downstairs at night to check out
the parties," admits Nicky.
In their teens, they transformed into tall, blond beauties - and regulars on
the covers of celebrity magazines.
Paris, once engaged to model Jason Shaw, has been singled out for special
attention since she was caught in 2001 "canoodling" with Leto, who was Cameron
Diaz's boyfriend at the time.
She was also accused of flirting with Cage while he was married to Lisa Marie
Presley and of having designs on Shannen Doherty's husband, Rick Solomon. She
was seen more recently with Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher.
Nicky has been linked to club promoter Hartwell since splitting with former MTV
veejay Brian McFayden.
The Hiltons, who have two younger brothers, Barron and Conrad, insist that
they're trying to make their own mark in life.
"I've been working hard, and I'm not trying to live off my name," Paris
declares. "I don't want to run hotels."
She has bought a home in West Hollywood to be on call for auditions.
"I can buy whatever I want and I don't have to work, but I want to," says
Paris, who shares the house with Nicky, a cousin, and her two dogs, a Chihuahua
named Tinkerbell and bulldog Max.
To negotiate the L.A. traffic, Daddy gave his little princess a sporty Mercedes
CLK convertible, while Nicky got the keys to a silver, four-door Benz.
Nicky says of her parents: "They always try to teach me to spend money well.
They once made me take the subways to school every day for a month."
These days, however, Nicky and Paris prefer limos.
