: At the time, Lopez told Lowdown: "Every city he visits, he's going to

Britney kicks out Kev
By EMILY SMITH
PREGNANT Britney Spears has thrown hubby Kevin Federline out of her
home - heightening divorce rumours.
Kevin, 28, has spent three out of the last four nights holed up in a
flat with pals in Sherman Oaks, California - while Britney has
remained at home in Malibu.
Britney, 24, refuses to comment. A pal said: "Things have suddenly
turned very sour. It looks bad."

BY MICHELLE CARUSO
NEWS WEST COAST BUREAU CHIEF
LOS ANGELES - Oops ... the child-care-challenged Britney Spears has
done it again.
First Mommy Spears-est got nailed for driving with her baby son in her
lap like a toy poodle. Now she could be busted for improperly
installing a child safety seat in her car, state officials say.
The pregnant pop princess was spotted tooling around in her convertible
Mini Cooper with 8-month-old Sean Preston slumped over in a
forward-facing car seat. Federal regulations say kiddie seats should
face backward until a child is a year old.
"It's far safer if the seat is facing backwards to avoid head-on
injuries and whiplash in case of a collision," said California Highway
Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall.
Spears, 24, "could be" cited for violating Section 27360 of the
California Vehicle Code, which says child safety seats must be
installed to comply with the federal standard.
"We would have to witness the violation. We can't issue a citation from
a photograph," Marshall said.
"It's a bit of a gray area," he added, because state code doesn't
specify the backward installation - a federal regulation does.
Spears' rep did not return calls for comment yesterday.
"We strongly urge anyone who is uncertain of how to install a car seat
to come down to one of our headquarters and get help. We offer that
service free of charge," said Marshall.
How about highchairs?
Spears, who recently confirmed she's expecting a second child, and
hubby Kevin Federline rushed Sean to the hospital last month for a
bumped noggin after he fell from a highchair that reportedly "snapped"
and broke while a nanny was lifting him out. Child welfare officials
investigated but cleared the couple of any wrongdoing.
In February, Spears got a visit and a warning from the cops after she
was photographed driving illegally with her son in her lap. She
admitted she "made a mistake" but blamed paparazzi for hounding her.

Britney Spears is spring cleaning her life - and it seems that not
only is layabout husband Kevin Federline set for the dumpster, but so
are all the Kabbalah books Madonna gave her.
In the first message on her website in over a year, Britney cryptically
reveals, "I no longer study Kabbalah, my baby is my religion".
No explanation is given, but maybe she figured her red string didn't
prevent baby Sean Preston from fracturing his skull.
Also likely to end up in the trash are wannabe gangsta Kevin's pet
sharks. The toothy aquarium fish are a must-have for rappers and drug
dealers at the moment, because of their lethal reputation - a bit
like pit bulls with gills.
"Kevin's sharks are the size of my arm," complains Britney -
who is not a fan. "He feeds them tons of shrimp and they're getting
bigger. I'm scared."
Not as scared as we are by the thought that Sean is bite-sized!

Ha. Study. That's a good one. Does she mean she's no longer reading the
Kabbalah Center's comic books?

Britney Spears and husband Kevin Federline are expecting their second
child together, Spears told David Letterman during a surprise visit to
his show on Tuesday.
"Don't worry, Dave, it's not yours," the singer joked.
"Oh. Well, I think that's good news for both of us," Letterman
responded, according to a show tran.
Spears's announcement, first reported by Access Hollywood, was
confirmed by her rep.
Spears, 24, and Federline, 28, already have a son, Sean Preston, who
was born in September of last year. The pop star, who has been on an
extended hiatus for nearly two years, calls motherhood "such an intense
experience."
Spears wed Federline in September 2004, and the pair began talking
about starting a family soon after. "I can see myself as a mom. Next
year at 23, I am so there," she told PEOPLE shortly after the wedding.
Just four days short of the couple's first wedding anniversary, she had
accomplished that goal.
As for her career, Spears told PEOPLE in February, "I'm going to (get
back to work), but I'm going to do it with definite balance for my baby
because I want him to have the best of both worlds."
Spears, who lives with Federline and "Sean P" in their newly remodeled
home in Malibu, recently returned to the spotlight by making a guest
appearance on Will & Grace.
Meanwhile, Federline is following in his wife's footsteps: His debut
album Playing with Fire is scheduled for release in August.
Of her domestic life out of the spotlight, Spears added: "I'm happy.
I'm very blessed. I have a beautiful home, a wonderful family,
supportive, loving people around me. I have a great life.

Aspiring rapper KEVIN FEDERLINE credits his superstar wife BRITNEY
SPEARS for providing inspiration for his debut album.
The former back-up dancer looked to his family when he was writing
songs for his new album PLAYING WITH FIRE, which is set for an August
(06) release.
Federline explains Spears inspired him "big time" adding, "My wife is
an inspiration to me for life in general.
"In some senses I feel I have to stick up for my family.
"I want my son and my daughter and my other son to sit up there and
look at daddy on TV and say, 'Damn!'"
Federline hints that his famous wife may be joining him on his debut
album adding, "That's a possibility, as of right now." (SS/WNVE/ES)

And I'm sure he'll use that same argument someday when he contests the
pre-nup. "Think of all the ink ya got when we hooked up, baby."

I'm glad they put Kevin Federline on that list. He combines both
average good looks with an aura of limacious evil. They deserve each
other.
